We are urgently seeking an experienced Registered Individual or former Ofsted Inspector to support the turnaround of our client’s children’s residential home under improvement notice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead immediate improvement actions to achieve regulatory compliance
- Act as Registered Individual with Ofsted, ensuring regulatory excellence
- Bridge between provider, Ofsted, local authorities, and stakeholders
- Support the Home Manager and staff team to embed accountability and safe care practices
- Lead safeguarding, quality assurance, and inspection readiness
- Oversee operational recovery, audits, and improvement planning
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Registered Individual or equivalent role in children’s residential care
- Proven track record of successfully turning around inadequate or closed homes
- In-depth understanding of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted frameworks
- Hands-on, adaptable, and able to work independently
- Available for an immediate start
Desirable:
- Former Ofsted Inspector or experienced care consultant
- Experience in therapeutic or trauma-informed care
